Tucked away in a romantic corner of rue de la Bûcherie in Paris' Left Bank is a tiny, antique book store and reading library. A yellow board announces proudly ­­­­– Shakespeare and Company, Antiquarian Books. Look closer and a plaque with Shakespeare's portrait solemnly greets you with an inspiring “Thou art alive still, while thy book doth live. And we have wits to read, and praise to give.”
