God Light at Pame, Nepal

By the time we got to the Phewa Lake, in the Pokhara district of Nepal, we did not get to see the amazing reflections, thanks to the earthquakes and landslides that occurred a few weeks earlier. The turquoise water was now brown. The heavy rains and winds did not help the cause either, and we were told that it would be a few months before all the silt would settle down.

But no big deal. We rode and hiked around the surrounding villages and made a day trip to Pame, where we indulged in some local cuisine. That evening, the rain clouds cleared off for a bit, and we were witness to an amazing display of god light.
